1. Give ear to my words, The LORD.Consider my meditation.
2. Listen to the voice of my cry, my King and my God;for to you do I pray.
3. The LORD, in the morning you shall hear my voice.In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.
4. For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness.Evil can't live with you.
5. The arrogant shall not stand in your sight.You hate all workers of iniquity.
6. You will destroy those who speak lies.The LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
7. But as for me, in the abundance of your loving kindness I will come into your house.I will bow toward your holy temple in reverence of you.
8. Lead me, The LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies.Make your way straight before my face.
9. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth.Their heart is destruction.Their throat is an open tomb.They flatter with their tongue.
10. Hold them guilty, God.Let them fall by their own counsels;Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions,for they have rebelled against you.
11. But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice,Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them.Let them also who love your name be joyful in you.
12. For you will bless the righteous.The LORD, you will surround him with favor as with a shield.
Psalms 7:1-17
1. The LORD, my God, I take refuge in you.Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
2. lest they tear apart my soul like a lion,ripping it in pieces, while there is no one to deliver.
3. The LORD, my God, if I have done this,if there is iniquity in my hands,
4. if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me(yes, I have delivered him who without cause was my adversary),
5. let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it;yes, let him tread my life down to the earth,and lay my glory in the dust.Selah.
6. Arise, The LORD, in your anger.Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries.Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.
7. Let the congregation of the peoples surround you.Rule over them on high.
8. The LORD administers judgment to the peoples.Judge me, The LORD, according to my righteousness,and to my integrity that is in me.
9. Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end,but establish the righteous;their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.
10. My shield is with God,who saves the upright in heart.
11. God is a righteous judge,yes, a God who has indignation every day.
12. If a man doesn't relent, he will sharpen his sword;he has bent and strung his bow.
13. He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death.He makes ready his flaming arrows.
14. Behold , he travails with iniquity.Yes, he has conceived mischief,and brought out falsehood.
15. He has dug a hole,and has fallen into the pit which he made.
16. The trouble he causes shall return to his own head.His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.
17. I will give thanks to the LORD according to his righteousness,and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
Psalms 26:1-12
1. Judge me, The LORD, for I have walked in my integrity.I have trusted also in the LORD without wavering.
2. Examine me, The LORD, and prove me.Try my heart and my mind.
3. For your loving kindness is before my eyes.I have walked in your truth.
4. I have not sat with deceitful men,neither will I go in with hypocrites.
5. I hate the assembly of evildoers,and will not sit with the wicked.
6. I will wash my hands in innocence,so I will go about your altar, The LORD;
7. that I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard,and tell of all your wondrous deeds.
8. The LORD, I love the habitation of your house,the place where your glory dwells.
9. Don't gather my soul with sinners,nor my life with bloodthirsty men;
10. in whose hands is wickedness,their right hand is full of bribes.
11. But as for me, I will walk in my integrity.Redeem me, and be merciful to me.
12. My foot stands in an even place.In the congregations I will bless The LORD.
Psalms 61:1-8
1. Hear my cry, God.Listen to my prayer.
2. From the end of the earth, I will call to you, when my heart is overwhelmed.Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3. For you have been a refuge for me,a strong tower from the enemy.
4. I will dwell in your tent forever.I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings.Selah.
5. For you, God, have heard my vows.You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
6. You will prolong the king's life;his years shall be for generations.
7. He shall be enthroned in God's presence forever.Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
8. So I will sing praise to your name forever,that I may fulfill my vows daily.
Psalms 63:1-11
1. God, you are my God.I will earnestly seek you.My soul thirsts for you.My flesh longs for you,in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.
2. So I have seen you in the sanctuary,watching your power and your glory.
3. Because your loving kindness is better than life,my lips shall praise you.
4. So I will bless you while I live.I will lift up my hands in your name.
5. My soul shall be satisfied as with the richest food.My mouth shall praise you with joyful lips,
6. when I remember you on my bed,and think about you in the night watches.
7. For you have been my help.I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings.
8. My soul stays close to you.Your right hand holds me up.
9. But those who seek my soul, to destroy it,shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
10. They shall be given over to the power of the sword.They shall be jackal food.
11. But the king shall rejoice in God.Everyone who swears by him will praise him,for the mouth of those who speak lies shall be silenced.
Psalms 69:1-36
1. Save me, God,for the waters have come up to my neck!
2. I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold.I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
3. I am weary with my crying.My throat is dry.My eyes fail, looking for my God.
4. Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head.Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty.I have to restore what I didn't take away.
5. God, you know my foolishness.My sins aren't hidden from you.
6. Don't let those who wait for you be shamed through me, Lord the LORD of Hosts.Don't let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel.
7. Because for your sake, I have borne reproach.Shame has covered my face.
8. I have become a stranger to my brothers,an alien to my mother's children.
9. For the zeal of your house consumes me.The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
10. When I wept and I fasted,that was to my reproach.
11. When I made sackcloth my clothing,I became a byword to them.
12. Those who sit in the gate talk about me.I am the song of the drunkards.
13. But as for me, my prayer is to you, The LORD, in an acceptable time.God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.
14. Deliver me out of the mire, and don't let me sink.Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.
15. Don't let the flood waters overwhelm me,neither let the deep swallow me up.Don't let the pit shut its mouth on me.
16. Answer me, The LORD, for your loving kindness is good.According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.
17. Don't hide your face from your servant,for I am in distress.Answer me speedily!
18. Draw near to my soul, and redeem it.Ransom me because of my enemies.
19. You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor.My adversaries are all before you.
20. Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness.I looked for some to take pity, but there was none;for comforters, but I found none.
21. They also gave me gall for my food.In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.
22. Let their table before them become a snare.May it become a retribution and a trap.
23. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can't see.Let their backs be continually bent.
24. Pour out your indignation on them.Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.
25. Let their habitation be desolate.Let no one dwell in their tents.
26. For they persecute him whom you have wounded.They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.
27. Charge them with crime upon crime.Don't let them come into your righteousness.
28. Let them be blotted out of the book of life,and not be written with the righteous.
29. But I am in pain and distress.Let your salvation, God, protect me.
30. I will praise the name of God with a song,and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31. It will please the LORD better than an ox,or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
32. The humble have seen it, and are glad.You who seek after God, let your heart live.
33. For the LORD hears the needy,and doesn't despise his captive people.
34. Let heaven and earth praise him;the seas, and everything that moves therein!
35. For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah.They shall settle there, and own it.
36. The children also of his servants shall inherit it.Those who love his name shall dwell therein.
Psalms 70:1-5
1. Hurry, God, to deliver me.Come quickly to help me, The LORD.
2. Let them be disappointed and confounded who seek my soul.Let those who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
3. Let them be turned because of their shameWho say, "Aha! Aha!"
4. Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you.Let those who love your salvation continually say,"Let God be exalted!"
5. But I am poor and needy.Come to me quickly, God.You are my help and my deliverer.The LORD, don't delay.
Psalms 86:1-17
1. Hear, The LORD, and answer me,for I am poor and needy.
2. Preserve my soul, for I am godly.You, my God, save your servant who trusts in you.
3. Be merciful to me, Lord,for I call to you all day long.
4. Bring joy to the soul of your servant,for to you, Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5. For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive;abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.
6. Hear, The LORD, my prayer.Listen to the voice of my petitions.
7. In the day of my trouble I will call on you,for you will answer me.
8. There is no one like you among the gods, Lord,nor any deeds like your deeds.
9. All nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord.They shall glorify your name.
10. For you are great, and do wondrous things.You are God alone.
11. Teach me your way, The LORD.I will walk in your truth.Make my heart undivided to fear your name.
12. I will praise you, Lord my God, with my whole heart.I will glorify your name forever more.
13. For your loving kindness is great toward me.You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.
14. God, the proud have risen up against me.A company of violent men have sought after my soul,and they don't hold regard for you before them.
15. But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God,slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.
16. Turn to me, and have mercy on me!Give your strength to your servant.Save the son of your servant.
17. Show me a sign of your goodness,that those who hate me may see it, and be shamed,because you, The LORD, have helped me, and comforted me.
