1. The LORD is my light and my salvation.Whom shall I fear?The LORD is the strength of my life.Of whom shall I be afraid?

2. When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh,even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

3. Though an army should encamp against me,my heart shall not fear.Though war should rise against me,even then I will be confident.

4. One thing I have asked of The LORD, that I will seek after:that I may dwell in The LORD's house all the days of my life,to see The LORD's beauty,and to inquire in his temple.

5. For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion.In the covert of his tabernacle he will hide me.He will lift me up on a rock.

6. Now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me;I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tent.I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to The LORD.

8. When you said, "Seek my face,"my heart said to you, "I will seek your face, The LORD."

9. Don't hide your face from me.Don't put your servant away in anger.You have been my help.Don't abandon me,neither forsake me, God of my salvation.

10. When my father and my mother forsake me,then the LORD will take me up.

11. Teach me your way, The LORD.Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies.

12. Don't deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries,for false witnesses have risen up against me,such as breathe out cruelty.

13. I am still confident of this:I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

14. Wait for The LORD.Be strong, and let your heart take courage.Yes, wait for The LORD.

1. Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!

2. Sing to the glory of his name!Offer glory and praise!

3. Tell God, "How awesome are your deeds!Through the greatness of your power, your enemies submit themselves to you.

4. All the earth will worship you,and will sing to you;they will sing to your name."Selah.

5. Come, and see God's deeds-awesome work on behalf of the children of men.

6. He turned the sea into dry land.They went through the river on foot.There, we rejoiced in him.

7. He rules by his might forever.His eyes watch the nations.Don't let the rebellious rise up against him.Selah.

8. Praise our God, you peoples!Make the sound of his praise heard,

9. who preserves our life among the living,and doesn't allow our feet to be moved.

10. For you, God, have tested us.You have refined us, as silver is refined.

11. You brought us into prison.You laid a burden on our backs.

12. You allowed men to ride over our heads.We went through fire and through water,but you brought us to the place of abundance.

13. I will come into your temple with burnt offerings.I will pay my vows to you,

14. which my lips promised,and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress.

15. I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals,with the offering of rams,I will offer bulls with goats.Selah.

16. Come, and hear, all you who fear God.I will declare what he has done for my soul.

17. I cried to him with my mouth.He was extolled with my tongue.

18. If I cherished sin in my heart,the Lord wouldn't have listened.

19. But most certainly, God has listened.He has heard the voice of my prayer.

20. Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer,nor his loving kindness from me.

1. I was glad when they said to me,"Let's go to The LORD's house!"

2. Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem;

3. Jerusalem, that is built as a city that is compact together;

4. where the tribes go up, even Yah's tribes,according to an ordinance for Israel,to give thanks to The LORD's name.

5. For there are set thrones for judgment,the thrones of DAVID's house.

6. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.Those who love you will prosper.

7. Peace be within your walls,and prosperity within your palaces.

8. For my brothers' and companions' sakes,I will now say, "Peace be within you."

9. For the sake of the house of the LORD our God,I will seek your good.
