21. DAVID came to Saul, and stood before him. He loved him greatly; and he became his armor bearer.

22. Saul sent to Jesse, saying, "Please let DAVID stand before me; for he has found favor in my sight."

23. When the spirit from God was on Saul, DAVID took the harp, and played with his hand; so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

DAVID spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers with instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up their voices with joy.

four thousand were doorkeepers, and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made for giving praise."

The priests stood, according to their positions; the Levites also with instruments of music of The LORD, which DAVID the king had made to give thanks to The LORD, when DAVID praised by their ministry, saying "For his loving kindness endures for ever." The priests sounded trumpets before them; and all Israel stood.

The Levites stood with DAVID's instruments, and the priests with the trumpets.
