3. All things were made through him. Without him was not anything made that has been made.

4. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

5. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn't overcome it.

6. There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John.

7. The same came as a witness, that he might testify about the light, that all might believe through him.

8. He was not the light, but was sent that he might testify about the light.

9. The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.

10. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn't recognize him.

yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, JESUS CHRIST, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through JESUS CHRIST;

16. For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.

17. He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

2. has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.

3. His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

4. having become so much better than the angels, as he has inherited a more excellent name than they have.

5. For to which of the angels did he say at any time,"You are my Son.Today I have become your father?"Psalm 2:7and again,"I will be to him a Father,and he will be to me a Son?"2 Samuel 7:14; 1 Chronicles 17:13

6. When he again brings in the firstborn into the world he says, "Let all the angels of God worship him."Deuteronomy 32:43 LXX

7. Of the angels he says,"Who makes his angels winds,and his servants a flame of fire."Psalm 104:4

8. But of the Son he says,"Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.

9. You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity;therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows."Psalm 45:6-7

10. And,"You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth.The heavens are the works of your hands.
