but you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die."

16. To the woman he said,"I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth.In pain you will bear children.Your desire will be for your husband,and he will rule over you."

17. To Adam he said,"Because you have listened to your wife's voice,and ate from the tree,about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it,'the ground is cursed for your sake.You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.

18. It will yield thorns and thistles to you;and you will eat the herb of the field.

19. By the sweat of your face will you eat bread until you return to the ground,for out of it you were taken.For you are dust,and to dust you shall return."

If you do well, won't it be lifted up? If you don't do well, SIN crouches at the door. Its desire is for you, but you are to rule over it."

3. The LORD said, "My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; so his days will be one hundred twenty years."

4. The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when God's sons came in to men's daughters and had children with them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

5. The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of man's heart was continually only evil.

6. The LORD was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.

7. The LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground-man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky-for I am sorry that I have made them."

The LORD said, "Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their SIN is very grievous,

for we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown so great before the LORD that the LORD has sent us to destroy it."

33. The LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has SINned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

34. Now go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. Behold, my angel shall go before you. Nevertheless in the day when I punish, I will punish them for their SIN."
