Matthew 27:35-56

35. When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among them, casting lots,Psalm 22:18 and John 19:24]
36. and they sat and watched him there.
37. They set up over his head the accusation against him written, "THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS."
38. Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left.
39. Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads,
40. and saying, "You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!"
41. Likewise the chief priests also mocking, with the scribes, the Pharisees, and the elders, said,
42. "He saved others, but he can't save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.
43. He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
44. The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach.
45. Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.
46. About the ninth hour JESUS cried with a loud voice, saying,"Eli, Eli, limasabachthani?" That is,"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"Psalm 22:1
47. Some of them who stood there, when they heard it, said, "This man is calling Elijah."
48. Immediately one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him a drink.
49. The rest said, "Let him be. Let's see whether Elijah comes to save him."
50. JESUS cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.
51. Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.
52. The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
53. and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.
54. Now the centurion, and those who were with him watching JESUS, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God."
55. Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed JESUS from Galilee, serving him.
56. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Mark 15:24-41

24. Crucifying him, they parted his garments among them, casting lots on them, what each should take.
25. It was the third hour, and they crucified him.
26. The superscription of his accusation was written over him, "THE KING OF THE JEWS."
27. With him they crucified two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.
28. The Scripture was fulfilled, which says, "He was counted with transgressors."
29. Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying, "Ha! You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days,
30. save yourself, and come down from the cross!"
31. Likewise, also the chief priests mocking among themselves with the scribes said, "He saved others. He can't save himself.
32. Let the Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe him." Those who were crucified with him also insulted him.
33. When the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
34. At the ninth hour JESUS cried with a loud voice, saying,"Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which is, being interpreted,"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"Psalm 22:1
35. Some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, "Behold, he is calling Elijah."
36. One ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, "Let him be. Let's see whether Elijah comes to take him down."
37. JESUS cried out with a loud voice, and gave up the spirit.
38. The veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom.
39. When the centurion, who stood by opposite him, saw that he cried out like this and breathed his last, he said, "Truly this man was the Son of God!"
40. There were also women watching from afar, among whom were both Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
41. who, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and served him; and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.

Luke 23:33-49

33. When they came to the place that is called The Skull, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.
34. JESUS said,"Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing."Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.
35. The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, "He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!"
36. The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar,
37. and saying, "If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!"
38. An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: "THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
39. One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, "If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!"
40. But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Don't you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?
41. And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong."
42. He said to JESUS, "Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom."
43. JESUS said to him,"Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise."
44. It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour.
45. The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two.
46. JESUS, crying with a loud voice, said,"Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!" Having said this, he breathed his last.
47. When the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, "Certainly this was a righteous man."
48. All the multitudes that came together to see this, when they saw the things that were done, returned home beating their breasts.
49. All his acquaintances, and the women who followed with him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

John 19:18-30

18. where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and JESUS in the middle.
19. Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. There was written, "JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS."
20. Therefore many of the Jews read this title, for the place where JESUS was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek.
21. The chief priests of the Jews therefore said to Pilate, "Don't write, 'The King of the Jews,' but, 'he said, "I am King of the Jews."'"
22. Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."
23. Then the soldiers, when they had crucified JESUS, took his garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the coat. Now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24. Then they said to one another, "Let's not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it will be," that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says,"They parted my garments among them. For my cloak they cast lots."Psalm 22:18Therefore the soldiers did these things.
25. But there were standing by the cross of JESUS his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
26. Therefore when JESUS saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother,"Woman, behold, your son!"
27. Then he said to the disciple,"Behold, your mother!" From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.
28. After this, JESUS, seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said,"I am thirsty."
29. Now a vessel full of vinegar was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.
30. When JESUS therefore had received the vinegar, he said,"It is finished." He bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.
