"Awake, sword, against my shepherd,and against the man who is close to me," says the LORD of Hosts."Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

Then JESUS said to them,"All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, 'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'Zechariah 13:7

11. I am the good shepherd.Isaiah 40:11; Ezekiel 34:11-12,15,22The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

12. He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who doesn't own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, leaves the sheep, and flees. The wolf snatches the sheep, and scatters them.

13. The hired hand flees because he is a hired hand, and doesn't care for the sheep.

14. I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I'm known by my own;

15. even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.

Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.
