When he came near to the den to Daniel, he cried with a troubled voice. The king spoke and said to Daniel, "Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?"

because an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting of dreams, showing of dark sentences, and dissolving of doubts were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation."
Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. The king spoke and said to Daniel, "Your God whom you serve continually, he will deliver you."
Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.
"When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation,Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
But when you see the abomination of desolation,Daniel 9:17; 11:31; 12:11spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,

                            Now these were the sons of David, who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second, Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess;
Of the sons of Phinehas, Gershom.Of the sons of Ithamar, Daniel.Of the sons of David, Hattush.
though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness," says the Lord God.
though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live," says the Lord God, "they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness."
                            behold, you are wiser than Daniel;there is no secret that is hidden from you;
Now among these were of the children of Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
The prince of the eunuchs gave names to them: to Daniel he gave the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king's dainties, nor with the wine which he drank. Therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Now God made Daniel find kindness and compassion in the sight of the prince of the eunuchs.
The prince of the eunuchs said to Daniel, "I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink. For why should he see your faces worse looking than the youths who are of your own age? So would you endanger my head with the king."
Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king.
Daniel continued even to the first year of king Cyrus.
So the decree went out, and the wise men were to be slain. They sought Daniel and his companions to be slain.
Then Daniel returned answer with counsel and prudence to Arioch the captain of the king's guard, who had gone out to kill the wise men of Babylon.
He answered Arioch the king's captain, "Why is the decree so urgent from the king?" Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would appoint him a time, and he would show the king the interpretation.
Then Daniel went to his house and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:
that they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his companions would not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Daniel answered,"Blessed be the name of God forever and ever;for wisdom and might are his.
Therefore Daniel went in to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon. He went and said this to him: "Don't destroy the wise men of Babylon. Bring me in before the king, and I will show to the king the interpretation."
Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said this to him: "I have found a man of the children of the captivity of Judah who will make known to the king the interpretation."
The king answered Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, "Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen, and its interpretation?"
                            Daniel answered before the king, and said, "The secret which the king has demanded can't be shown to the king by wise men, enchanters, magicians, or soothsayers;
Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face, worshiped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an offering and sweet odors to him.
The king answered to Daniel, and said, "Of a truth your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you have been able to reveal this secret."
Then the king made Daniel great, and gave him many great gifts, and made him rule over the whole province of Babylon, and to be chief governor over all the wise men of Babylon.
But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. I told the dream before him, saying,
Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stricken mute for a while, and his thoughts troubled him. The king answered, "Belteshazzar, don't let the dream, or the interpretation, trouble you."Belteshazzar answered, "My lord, may the dream be for those who hate you, and its interpretation to your adversaries.
Then Daniel answered before the king, "Let your gifts be to yourself, and give your rewards to another. Nevertheless, I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
Then Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with purple, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
and over them three presidents, of whom Daniel was one; that these satraps might give account to them, and that the king should suffer no loss.
Then this Daniel was distinguished above the presidents and the satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
Then the presidents and the satraps sought to find occasion against Daniel as touching the kingdom; but they could find no occasion or fault, because he was faithful. There wasn't any error or fault found in him.
Then these men said, "We won't find any occasion against this Daniel, unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God."
When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house (now his windows were open in his room toward Jerusalem) and he kneeled on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.
Then these men assembled together, and found Daniel making petition and supplication before his God.
Then they answered and said before the king, "That Daniel, who is of the children of the captivity of Judah, doesn't respect you, O king, nor the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day."
Then the king, when he heard these words, was very displeased, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored until the going down of the sun to rescue him.
A stone was brought, and laid on the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that nothing might be changed concerning Daniel.
Then Daniel said to the king, "O king, live forever!
The king commanded, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions mauled them, and broke all their bones in pieces, before they came to the bottom of the den.
"I make a decree that in all the dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel;"for he is the living God,and steadfast forever. His kingdom is that which will not be destroyed. His dominion will be even to the end.
He delivers and rescues. He works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions."
So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head on his bed. Then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters.
Daniel spoke and said, "I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the sky broke out on the great sea.
"As for me, Daniel, my spirit was grieved within my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
"Here is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts much troubled me, and my face was changed in me; but I kept the matter in my heart."
In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, even to me, Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first.
When I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, I sought to understand it. Then behold, there stood before me something like the appearance of a man.
I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick for some days. Then I rose up, and did the king's business. I wondered at the vision, but no one understood it.
in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years about which The LORD's word came to Jeremiah the prophet, for the accomplishing of the desolations of Jerusalem, even seventy years.
He instructed me, and talked with me, and said, Daniel, "I have now come to give you wisdom and understanding.
In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, even a great warfare. He understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.
In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three whole weeks.
I, Daniel, alone saw the vision; for the men who were with me didn't see the vision; but a great quaking fell on them, and they fled to hide themselves.
He said to me, Daniel, you greatly beloved man, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright; for I have been sent to you, now. When he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling.
Then he said to me, "Don't be afraid, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. I have come for your words' sake.
But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many will run back and forth, and knowledge will be increased."
Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others stood, one on the river bank on this side, and the other on the river bank on that side.
He said, "Go your way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.

quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword,Daniel 3:1-30 from weakness were made strong, grew mighty in war, and caused foreign armies to flee.1 Kings 19:1-3; 2 Kings 6:31-7:20
And among the lamp stands was one like a son of man, clothed with a robe reaching down to his feet, and with a golden sash around his chest.Daniel 7:13
I looked, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud one sitting like a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.Daniel 7:13
He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
Isaiah said to them, "Tell your master this: 'The LORD says, "Don't be afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, "The LORD, the God of Israel, says 'You have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, and I have heard you.
In those days Hezekiah was sick and dying. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, "The LORD says, 'Set your house in order; for you will die, and not live.'"
Before Isaiah had gone out into the middle part of the city, The LORD's word came to him, saying,
Isaiah said, "Take a cake of figs."They took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I will go up to The LORD's house the third day?"
Isaiah said, "This will be the sign to you from The LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he has spoken: should the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?"
Isaiah the prophet cried to The LORD; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz.
Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and said to him, "What did these men say? From where did they come to you?"Hezekiah said, "They have come from a far country, even from Babylon."
Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear The LORD's word.
Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "The LORD's word which you have spoken is good." He said moreover, "Isn't it so, if peace and truth will be in my days?"
Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, wrote.
Hezekiah the king and Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, prayed because of this, and cried to heaven.
Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his good deeds, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
Then the LORD said to Isaiah, "Go out now to meet Ahaz, you, and Shearjashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway of the fuller's field.
The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.
at that time the LORD spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, "Go, and loosen the sackcloth from off your waist, and take your shoes from off your feet." He did so, walking naked and barefoot.
The LORD said, "As my servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and a wonder concerning Egypt and concerning Ethiopia,
He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.
So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
Isaiah said to them, "Tell your master, 'The LORD says, "Don't be afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, "The LORD, the God of Israel says, 'Because you have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria,
In those days was Hezekiah sick and near death. Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, "The LORD says, 'Set your house in order, for you will die, and not live.'"
Then The LORD's word came to Isaiah, saying,
Now Isaiah had said, "Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover."
Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and asked him, "What did these men say? Where did they come from to you?"Hezekiah said, "They have come from a country far from me, even from Babylon."
Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD of Hosts:
Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "The LORD's word which you have spoken is good." He said moreover, "For there will be peace and truth in my days."
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall give birth to a son. They shall call his name Immanuel";which is, being interpreted, "God with us."Isaiah 7:14
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
the people who sat in darkness saw a great light,to those who sat in the region and shadow of death,to them light has dawned."Isaiah 9:1-2
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.Isaiah 57:15; 66:2
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.Isaiah 61:2; 66:10,13
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
In his name, the nations will hope."Isaiah 42:1-4
In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says,'By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand;Seeing you will see,and will in no way perceive:
for this people's heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, they have closed their eyes;or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again;and I would heal them.'Isaiah 6:9-10
You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
And in vain do they worship me,teaching as doctrine rules made by men.'"Isaiah 29:13
He said to them,"It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,'Isaiah 56:7but you have made it a den of robbers!"Jeremiah 7:11
But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;Isaiah 13:10; 34:4
the voice of one crying in the wilderness,'Make ready the way of the Lord!Make his paths straight!'"Isaiah 40:3
that 'seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.'"Isaiah 6:9-10

But they worship me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'Isaiah 29:13

                                                                                All flesh will see God's salvation.'"Isaiah 40:3-5

and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."Isaiah 61:1-2

saying to them,"It is written, 'My house is a house of prayer,'Isaiah 56:7but you have made it a 'den of robbers'!"Jeremiah 7:11
For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: 'He was counted with transgressors.'Isaiah 53:12For that which concerns me has an end."
It is written in the prophets, 'They will all be taught by God.'Isaiah 54:13Therefore everyone who hears from the Father, and has learned, comes to me.
They answered him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee."See Isaiah 9:1 and Matthew 4:13-16.
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying,"I am the light of the world.Isaiah 60:1He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life."
I am the good shepherd.Isaiah 40:11; Ezekiel 34:11-12,15,22The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
I have other sheep, which are not of this fold.Isaiah 56:8I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.
Therefore the Father loves me, because I lay down my life,Isaiah 53:7-8that I may take it again.
For this cause they couldn't believe, for Isaiah said again,
"He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them."Isaiah 6:10

He was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.
Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
In his humiliation, his judgment was taken away.Who will declare His generation? For his life is taken from the earth."Isaiah 53:7,8
"Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus: 'I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.'Isaiah 55:3
For so has the Lord commanded us, saying,'I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.'"Isaiah 49:6
When they didn't agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had spoken one word, "The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah, the prophet, to our fathers,
For this people's heart has grown callous.Their ears are dull of hearing.Their eyes they have closed.Lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, and I would heal them.'Isaiah 6:9-10
