King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, besides that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.
So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong for three years; for they walked three years in the way of David and Solomon.
Thus all the work that Solomon did for The LORD's house was finished. Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, even the silver, the gold, and all the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of God's house.

Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, aren't they written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers' households of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of The LORD's covenant out of David's city, which is Zion.
all the storage cities that Solomon had, the cities for his chariots, the cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
and Baalath, and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for his chariots, the cities for his horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
Sing to him a new song.Play skillfully with a shout of joy!
The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet. They break out in song.
How can we sing The LORD's song in a foreign land?
Then Israel sang this song:"Spring up, well! Sing to it,
Fire devoured their young men.Their virgins had no wedding song.
Yah is my strength and song.He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him;my father's God, and I will exalt him.
He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God.Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in The LORD.
These are they whom David set over the service of song in The LORD's house, after the ark came to rest there.
So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.
All king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold. Silver was not considered valuable in the days of Solomon.
Thus all the work that king Solomon did in The LORD's house was finished. Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, the silver, the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of The LORD's house.
All king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold. None were of silver, because it was considered of little value in the days of Solomon.
Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, the pleasant lyre with the harp.
Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun.
Sing to the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea,and all that is therein, the islands and their inhabitants.
I remember my song in the night.I consider in my own heart;my spirit diligently inquires:
Moses spoke in the ears of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song, until they were finished.
Yahwe h will command his loving kindness in the daytime. In the night his song shall be with me:a prayer to the God of my life.
(and he commanded them to teach the children of Judah the song of the bow; behold, it is written in the book of Jashar):
Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand, and his holy arm, have worked salvation for him.
Behold, you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they don't do them.
Huram sent him ships and servants who had knowledge of the sea by the hands of his servants; and they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and brought from there four hundred fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah:"We have a strong city.God appoints salvation for walls and bulwarks.
(now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and cypress trees, and with gold, according to all his desire), King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
Therefore Solomon sought to kill Jeroboam; but Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, to Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
You will have a song, as in the night when a holy feast is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to come to The LORD's mountain, to Israel's Rock.
They sang a new song, saying,"You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals:for you were killed, and bought us for God with your blood, out of every tribe, language, people, and nation,
It will happen, when many evils and troubles have come on them, that this song will testify before them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten out of the mouths of their descendants; for I know their ways and what they are doing today, before I have brought them into the land which I swore."
Moreover Solomon made the middle of the court that was before The LORD's house holy; for there he offered the burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offering, the meal offering, and the fat.
Thus Solomon finished The LORD's house and the king's house; and he successfully completed all that came into Solomon's heart to make in The LORD's house and in his own house.
Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, The LORD, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation."
The LORD is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him.
For this cause they couldn't believe, for Isaiah said again,
As the heat in a dry place will you bring down the noise of strangers; as the heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the dreaded ones will be brought low.
The way of peace, they haven't known."Isaiah 59:7-8
You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
In his name, the nations will hope."Isaiah 42:1-4
Then The LORD's word came to Isaiah, saying,
                                          All flesh will see God's salvation.'"Isaiah 40:3-5
Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to The LORD, and said,"I will sing to The LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.
I will sing a new song to you, God.On a ten-stringed lyre, I will sing praises to you.
It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.
"For who has known the mind of the Lord?Or who has been his counselor?"Isaiah 40:13
This is my covenant to them, when I will take away their sins."Isaiah 59:20-21; 27:9; Jeremiah 31:33-34
For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed."Isaiah 28:16
So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
who did not sin, "neither was deceit found in his mouth."Isaiah 53:9
So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.Isaiah 61:2; 66:10,13
This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
All these were under the hands of their father for song in The LORD's house, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God's house; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.
For "the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you," just as it is written.Isaiah 52:5; Ezekiel 36:22
Didn't my hand make all these things?'Isaiah 66:1-2
Again, "I will put my trust in him." Again, "Behold, here I am with the children whom God has given me."Isaiah 8:17Isaiah 8:18
Therefore the Father loves me, because I lay down my life,Isaiah 53:7-8that I may take it again.
and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."Isaiah 61:1-2
Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear The LORD's word.
'where their worm doesn't die, and the fire is not quenched.'Isaiah 66:24
But they worship me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'Isaiah 29:13
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.Isaiah 57:15; 66:2
Before Isaiah had gone out into the middle part of the city, The LORD's word came to him, saying,
Isaiah said, "Take a cake of figs."They took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
Therefore lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees,Isaiah 35:3
the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.Isaiah 13:10; 34:4
But, as it is written,"They will see, to whom no news of him came. They who haven't heard will understand."Isaiah 52:15
He was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.
Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD of Hosts:
Now Isaiah had said, "Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover."

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, "The LORD, the God of Israel says, 'Because you have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria,

In those days Hezekiah was sick and dying. He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: "Death is swallowed up in victory."Isaiah 25:8
In those days was Hezekiah sick and near death. Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, "The LORD says, 'Set your house in order, for you will die, and not live.'"

When the burnt offering began, The LORD's song also began, along with the trumpets and David king of Israel's instruments.

He did so, walking naked and barefoot.
When they didn't agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had spoken one word, "The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah, the prophet, to our fathers,

After the end of seventy years it will be to Tyre like in the song of the prostitute.
Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his good deeds, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying,"I am the light of the world.Isaiah 60:1He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life."
The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written,
saying to them,"It is written, 'My house is a house of prayer,'Isaiah 56:7but you have made it a 'den of robbers'!"Jeremiah 7:11
                                                                                                                                                Isaiah cries concerning Israel,"If the number of the children of Israel are as the sand of the sea,it is the remnant who will be saved;
But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. "Don't fear what they fear, neither be troubled."Isaiah 8:12
Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and asked him, "What did these men say? Where did they come from to you?"Hezekiah said, "They have come from a country far from me, even from Babylon."
They answered him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee."See Isaiah 9:1 and Matthew 4:13-16.
but the Lord's word endures forever."Isaiah 40:6-8This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.
the people who sat in darkness saw a great light,to those who sat in the region and shadow of death,to them light has dawned."Isaiah 9:1-2

Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and said to him, "What did these men say? Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I will go up to The LORD's house the third day?"

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
He taught, saying to them,"Isn't it written, 'My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations?'Isaiah 56:7But you have made it a den of robbers!"Jeremiah 7:11
But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, "Why did you make me like this?"Isaiah 29:16; 45:9
"For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?" But we have Christ's mind.Isaiah 40:13
As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet,"The voice of one crying in the wilderness,'Make ready the way of the Lord.Make his paths straight.
Sing to the LORD a new song!Sing to The LORD, all the earth.
yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.
But Solomon built him a house.
The LORD's word came to Solomon, saying,
Now the days of David came near that he should die; and he commanded Solomon his son, saying,
Solomon's son was Rehoboam, Abijah his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,
Solomon went to Hamath Zobah, and prevailed against it.
So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
Also, Solomon sits on the throne of the kingdom.
That night, God appeared to Solomon and said to him, "Ask for what you want me to give you."
But as it is written,"Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him."Isaiah 64:4
King Solomon sent and brought Hiram out of Tyre.
Hiram came out of Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they didn't please him.
They brought horses for Solomon out of Egypt and out of all lands.
David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
Solomon was told that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath, and had come again.
Then Solomon said, "The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
Then Solomon said, "The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
The proverbs of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel:
He said to me, 'Solomon, your son, shall build my house and my courts; for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
This request pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
King Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he fell on him, so that he died.
When the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,
These also are proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
                                                                                                                                                                              Ben Abinadab, in all the height of Dor (he had Taphath, Solomon's daughter, as wife);
King Solomon made himself a carriageof the wood of Lebanon.
                                                                                                                                                                              Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon as wife);
My own vineyard is before me.The thousand are for you, Solomon;two hundred for those who tend its fruit.
It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon's porch.
Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
Solomon answered all her questions. There was not anything hidden from the king which he didn't tell her.
When the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,
David said to Solomon his son, "As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of the LORD my God.
And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:"How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!"Isaiah 52:7
So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
He said, "Please speak to Solomon the king (for he will not tell you 'no'), that he give me Abishag the Shunammite as wife."
For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
Solomon built in the land Gezer, Beth Horon the lower,
Then Solomon went to Ezion Geber and to Eloth, on the seashore in the land of Edom.
In Gibeon, the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, "Ask for what I should give you."
These are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,
Then he called for Solomon his son, and commanded him to build a house for The LORD, the God of Israel.
Now David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
These are the names of those who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,
All the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt and from Kue. The king's merchants purchased them from Kue.
The time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
Adonijah was afraid because of Solomon; and he arose, and went, and hung onto the horns of the altar.
Solomon sat on David his father's throne; and his kingdom was firmly established.
Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because there were so many of them. The weight of the brass could not be determined.
Isaiah said, "This will be the sign to you from The LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he has spoken: should the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?"
"He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them."Isaiah 6:10
I am the good shepherd.Isaiah 40:11; Ezekiel 34:11-12,15,22The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
for He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, because the LORD will make a short work upon the earth."Isaiah 10:22-23
Solomon said, "If he shows himself a worthy man, not a hair of his shall fall to the earth; but if wickedness is found in him, he shall die."
Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, rose up, and rebelled against his lord.
Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance; for the weight of the brass could not be determined.
but he didn't call Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother.
The king said to them, "Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride on my own mule, and bring him down to Gihon.
                                                                                                                                                                                          I am dark, but lovely,you daughters of Jerusalem,like Kedar's tents,like Solomon's curtains.
All the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
By the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. They were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
Otherwise it will happen, when my lord the king sleeps with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon will be considered criminals."
But king Solomon will be blessed, and David's throne will be established before the LORD forever."
These were the chief officers of king Solomon, even two-hundred fifty, who ruled over the people.
Then king Solomon swore by The LORD, saying, "God do so to me, and more also, if Adonijah has not spoken this word against his own life.
So Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, to Jerusalem; and he reigned over Israel.
They came to Ophir, and fetched from there gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.
When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning The LORD's name, she came to test him with hard questions.
The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases, which Solomon had made for The LORD's house, the brass of all these vessels was not weighed.
The LORD raised up an adversary to Solomon: Hadad the Edomite. He was one of the king's offspring in Edom.
Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
Solomon the son of David was firmly established in his kingdom, and The LORD his God was with him, and made him exceedingly great.
He died at a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place.
                                                                                                                                                                                            and these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel;
Solomon's provision for one day was thirty cors of fine flour, sixty measures of meal,
Judah and Israel lived safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
most certainly as I swore to you by The LORD, the God of Israel, saying, 'Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place;' I will most certainly do this today."
                                                                                                                                                                                            Solomon made all the vessels that were in God's house, the golden altar also, and the tables with the show bread on them;
                                                                                                                                                                                            David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in to her, and lay with her. She bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. the LORD loved him;
Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before The LORD, which was at the Tent of Meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.
Moreover the bronze altar that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made was there before The LORD's tabernacle; and Solomon and the assembly were seeking counsel there.
Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in his father David's city: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.
                                                                                                                                                                                            Solomon stood before The LORD's altar in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven;
So the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he went out, and fell on him, so that he died. The kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon.
The LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for myself for a house of sacrifice.
Solomon said to God, "You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.
Therefore the LORD said to Solomon, "Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.
The proverbs of Solomon.A wise son makes a glad father;but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
Go out, you daughters of Zion, and see king Solomon, with the crown with which his mother has crowned him,in the day of his weddings,in the day of the gladness of his heart.
The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt. The king's merchants received them in droves, each drove at a price.
The man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valor; and Solomon saw the young man that he was industrious, and he put him in charge of all the labor of the house of Joseph.
Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in his father David's city; and Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.
Johanan became the father of Azariah, who executed the priest's office in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem.
                                                                                                                                                                                            Solomon made all the vessels that were in The LORD's house: the golden altar and the table that the show bread was on, of gold;
He said to Jeroboam, "Take ten pieces; for The LORD, the God of Israel, says, 'Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to you
But of the children of Israel Solomon made no bondservants; but they were the men of war, his servants, his princes, his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
David the king said to all the assembly, "Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.
King Solomon made a fleet of ships in Ezion Geber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.
King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who were assembled to him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle, that could not be counted or numbered for multitude.
As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
of the nations concerning which the LORD said to the children of Israel, "You shall not go among them, neither shall they come among you; for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods." Solomon joined to these in love.
But of the children of Israel, Solomon made no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
For this people's heart has grown callous.Their ears are dull of hearing.Their eyes they have closed.Lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, and I would heal them.'Isaiah 6:9-10
for this people's heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, they have closed their eyes;or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again;and I would heal them.'Isaiah 6:9-10
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite of Zeredah, a servant of Solomon, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow, also lifted up his hand against the king.
This was the reason why he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breach of his father David's city.
She came to Jerusalem with a very great caravan, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; and when she had come to Solomon, she talked with him about all that was in her heart.
Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, "As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house in which to dwell, so deal with me.
and give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for which I have made provision."
So Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for God's Tent of Meeting was there, which The LORD's servant Moses had made in the wilderness.
the pots; the shovels; and the basins: even all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon, in The LORD's house, were of burnished brass.
The king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place. Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.
Solomon loved The LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father; except that he sacrificed and burned incense in the high places.
So Solomon held the feast at that time for seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt.
Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household. Each man had to make provision for a month in the year.
Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and The LORD's glory filled the house.
They took the two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve bronze bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made for The LORD's house. The brass of all these vessels was without weight.
Then Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, "Haven't you heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith reigns, and David our lord doesn't know it?
Huram his father also made the pots, the shovels, the forks, and all its vessels for king Solomon, for The LORD's house, of bright brass.
When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly, and said, "Blessed is the LORD today, who has given to David a wise son to rule over this great people."
King Solomon answered his mother, "Why do you ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Ask for him the kingdom also; for he is my elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah."
for he says,"At an acceptable time I listened to you,in a day of salvation I helped you."Isaiah 49:8Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.
So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon.
Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, taken Gezer, burned it with fire, killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it for a wedding gift to his daughter, Solomon's wife.
Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, aren't they written in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
All the men of Israel assembled themselves to king Solomon at the feast, in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
But he hasn't called me, even me your servant, Zadok the priest, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon.
But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of David's city to her house which Solomon had built for her. Then he built Millo.
People of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, sent by all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
They performed the duty of their God, and the duty of the purification, and so did the singers and the gatekeepers, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
Jonathan answered Adonijah, "Most certainly our lord king David has made Solomon king.
Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, "I have heard the message which you have sent to me. I will do all your desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning cypress timber.
Solomon did that which was evil in The LORD's sight, and didn't go fully after The LORD, as David his father did.
God gave Solomon abundant wisdom and understanding, and very great understanding, even as the sand that is on the seashore.
Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the two houses, The LORD's house and the king's house
Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to the LORD on The LORD's altar, which he had built before the porch,
So there was great joy in Jerusalem; for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was nothing like this in Jerusalem.
King Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.
So Hiram gave Solomon cedar timber and cypress timber according to all his desire.
"Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,
The LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned away from The LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,
All the princes, the mighty men, and also all of the sons of king David submitted themselves to Solomon the king.
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
These were the five hundred fifty chief officers who were over Solomon's work, who ruled over the people who labored in the work.
He was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, besides the mischief of Hadad. He abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.
"Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the rest of the people, saying,
besides Solomon's chief officers who were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, who ruled over the people who labored in the work.
Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders and the Gebalites cut them, and prepared the timber and the stones to build the house.
                                                                                                                                                                                                    Solomon had seventy thousand who bore burdens, and eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains;
Prepare yourselves after your fathers' houses by your divisions, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.
of their children who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel didn't consume, of them Solomon conscripted forced labor to this day.
their children who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel were not able utterly to destroy, of them Solomon raised a levy of bondservants to this day.
King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who were assembled to him, were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle that could not be counted or counted for multitude.
Huram made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Huram finished doing the work that he did for king Solomon in God's house:
So Solomon thrust Abiathar out from being priest to The LORD, that he might fulfill The LORD's word, which he spoke concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.
King Rehoboam took counsel with the old men, who had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, "What counsel do you give me about how to answer these people?"
Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, "Because the LORD loves his people, he has made you king over them."
The LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and gave to him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
King Rehoboam took counsel with the old men, who had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, "What counsel do you give me to answer these people?"
From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much brass, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
besides that which the traders and merchants brought. All the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.
Then Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon. She said, "Do you come peaceably?"He said, "Peaceably.
Hiram sent in the fleet his servants, sailors who had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.
All the temple servants, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety-two.
Behold, it is Solomon's carriage!Sixty mighty men are around it,of the mighty men of Israel.
At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built The LORD's house and his own house,
Now Solomon decided to build a house for The LORD's name, and a house for his kingdom.
All the temple servants, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety-two.
You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, besides that which she had brought to the king. So she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.
Worthless men were gathered to him, base fellows who strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tender hearted, and could not withstand them.
Solomon had a vineyard at Baal Hamon. He leased out the vineyard to keepers. Each was to bring a thousand shekels of silver for its fruit.
Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the fathers' households.
Let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel. Blow the trumpet, and say, 'Long live king Solomon!'
The house which king Solomon built for the LORD had a length of sixty cubits, and its width twenty, and its height thirty cubits.
                                                                                                                                                                                                    Now king Solomon loved many foreign women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites;
He set the engraved image of the idol, which he had made, in God's house, of which God said to David and to Solomon his son, "In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name forever.
Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he stationed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the mountain that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.
The LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.
Now therefore come, please let me give you counsel, that you may save your own life, and your son Solomon's life.
                                                                                                                                                                                                    Then David gave to Solomon his son the plans for the porch of the temple, for its houses, for its treasuries, for its upper rooms, for its inner rooms, for the place of the mercy seat;
                                                                                                                                                                                                    He set the engraved image of Asherah that he had made in the house of which the LORD said to David and to Solomon his son, "In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name forever;
It was so, that when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to The LORD, he arose from before The LORD's altar, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread out toward heaven.
David said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous, and do it. Don't be afraid, nor be dismayed; for the LORD God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of The LORD's house is finished.
and ate and drank before the LORD on that day with great gladness. They made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him before the LORD to be prince, and Zadok to be priest.
This is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised, to build The LORD's house, his own house, Millo, Jerusalem's wall, Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.
On the twenty-third day of the seventh month, he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that the LORD had shown to David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
He has slain cattle and fatlings and sheep in abundance, and has called all the sons of the king, Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the army; but he hasn't called Solomon your servant.
When Solomon was old, his wives turned away his heart after other gods; and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father was.
Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of God's house. The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the width twenty cubits.
Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, eighty thousand men who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them.
David said, "Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it." So David prepared abundantly before his death.
Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers' households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of The LORD's covenant out of David's city, which is Zion.
So Solomon held the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven more days, even fourteen days.
Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.
Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the place of his father, and Hiram had always loved David.
Hiram made the basins, the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram finished doing all the work that he worked for king Solomon in The LORD's house:
Go in to king David, and tell him, 'Didn't you, my lord, king, swear to your servant, saying, "Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne?" Why then does Adonijah reign?'
Solomon counted all the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, after the census with which David his father had counted them; and they found one hundred fifty-three thousand six hundred.
The servants of Huram and the servants of Solomon, who brought gold from Ophir, also brought algum trees and precious stones.
Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of peace. I will give him rest from all his enemies all around; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.
His house where he was to dwell, the other court within the porch, was of the like work. He made also a house for Pharaoh's daughter (whom Solomon had taken as wife), like this porch.
When Jeroboam the son of Nebat heard of it (for he was yet in Egypt, where he had fled from the presence of king Solomon, and Jeroboam lived in Egypt,
When Jeroboam the son of Nebat heard of it (for he was in Egypt, where he had fled from the presence of king Solomon), Jeroboam returned out of Egypt.
King Solomon made two hundred bucklers of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of gold went to one buckler.
and he took away the treasures of The LORD's house, and the treasures of the king's house. He even took away all of it, including all the gold shields which Solomon had made.
King Solomon was king over all Israel.
(for Solomon had made a bronze scaffold, five cubits long, and five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the middle of the court; and he stood on it, and knelt down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven)
Solomon awoke; and behold, it was a dream. Then he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of The LORD's covenant, and offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.
Solomon brought up Pharaoh's daughter out of David's city to the house that he had built for her; for he said, "My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places where The LORD's ark has come are holy."
She gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, spices in great abundance, and precious stones. There was never before such spice as the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
Now all the work of Solomon was prepared from the day of the foundation of The LORD's house until it was finished. So The LORD's house was completed.
He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill, to work all works in brass. He came to king Solomon, and performed all his work.
Solomon made an alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter, and brought her into David's city, until he had finished building his own house, The LORD's house, and the wall around Jerusalem.
When Rehoboam had come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah and the tribe of Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand chosen men, who were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.
Jesse became the father of King David. David became the father of Solomon by her who had been Uriah's wife.
Of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of The LORD's kingdom over Israel.
Then Solomon began to build The LORD's house at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared to David his father, which he prepared in the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
Bathsheba therefore went to king Solomon, to speak to him for Adonijah. The king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself to her, and sat down on his throne, and caused a throne to be set for the king's mother; and she sat on his right hand.
Didn't Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? Yet among many nations was there no king like him, and he was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless foreign women caused even him to sin.
God said to Solomon, "Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor yet have you asked for long life; but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king,
The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Hassophereth, the children of Peruda,
King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle and a hundred twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated God's house.
The king defiled the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mountain of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon.
Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to the LORD three times per year, burning incense with them, on the altar that was before The LORD. So he finished the house.
Now these are the chiefs of the province who lived in Jerusalem; but in the cities of Judah everyone lived in his possession in their cities: Israel, the priests, the Levites, the temple servants, and the children of Solomon's servants.
Solomon said, "You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, because he walked before you in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you. You have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.
In the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, he began to build The LORD's house.
She gave the king one hundred twenty talents of gold, and a very great quantity of spices, and precious stones. Never again was there such an abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold. He drew chains of gold across before the inner sanctuary, and he overlaid it with gold.
Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen. He had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen that he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem and took away the treasures of The LORD's house and the treasures of the king's house. He took it all away. He also took away the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen. He had one thousand four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he kept in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.
Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. His mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.
King Solomon made two hundred bucklers of beaten gold. Six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one buckler.
He said to the Levites who taught all Israel, who were holy to The LORD, "Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built. It will no longer be a burden on your shoulders. Now serve the LORD your God, and his people Israel.
Solomon offered for the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to The LORD, twenty two thousand head of cattle, and one hundred twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated The LORD's house.
Moreover the king's servants came to bless our lord king David, saying, 'May your God make the name of Solomon better than your name, and make his throne greater than your throne;' and the king bowed himself on the bed.
He carried out from there all the treasures of The LORD's house, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold, which Solomon king of Israel had made in The LORD's temple, as the LORD had said.
As the LORD has been with my lord the king, even so may he be with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David."
She said to him, "My lord, you swore by The LORD your God to your servant, 'Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.'
Solomon became the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam became the father of Abijah. Abijah became the father of Asa.
